For a shower-bathtub we recommend 3 grab bars:
A vertical 18" grab bar at the entrance/exit to help stepping over the front of the bathtub. Ver important espescially when coming out since the feet and hands are wet and more proned to slip and fall forward.
A horizontal 24" grab bar below the knobs to hold on to while standing and washing hair.
A 36" grab bar positioned at an angle, easier on the shouolder when sitting up or sitting down, if using a shower chair.
