Today I installed 2 grab bars in this lovely Mar Vista house. I installed a 36" horizontal safety bar in the bathtub and I secured this Moen stainless steel grab bar horizontally for the homeowner's convenience. I anchored the grab bar in what I think was an acrylic made imitation marble bathtub enclosure. It felt very solid and the customer was very happy.
I also installed an 18in Moen grab bar at the entrance of the bathtub so help the homeowner stepping into the bathtub.
